The Freedom Film Club has its second event of a series exploring human freedom in the modern world on Friday 7th December 2018.
The club meets remotely on the hashtag #FreedomFilmClub, and as an informal gathering in Cambridge, UK.
This month’s chosen film is The Lives of Others, von Donnersmarck’s 2006 classic that tells a story of living under the Stasi in East Germany. It will be the first of a short series of films that explore surveillance and its effects on human beings.
There is a critical piece here (spoilers alert), and the trailer is below:
Please let us know if you’ll be watching, and share your thoughts on the hashtag, or if you’re in Cambridge and would like to attend in person.
